Collapse ▲The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has asked retail grocery stores throughout the state to be cognizant of farm workers who may need to purchase products in larger quantities that exceed limits that have been set. The NCDA&CS has produced documents that outline the situation and include an official authorization form that a farm worker will need to supply at the time of purchase.
The purpose of these documents is to allow for farms to purchase the needs of farm workers within the camps, limiting exposure during these times. The farmer or farm manager must complete and sign the forms and give to the worker who will be completing the shopping.
Please note that it may take time for larger retailers to send this information to individual stores; however, the intent of these documents is to hopefully reduce some of the issues that are being faced with purchasing items that are limited during this time.
Please download and fill out the following forms to be given to whoever is responsible for shopping on the farm. They will need to provide these when purchasing products at the grocery store.
