Virtual Civic Engagement and

Municipal Elections 101

Monday, March 27th at 6 p.m. via Zoom Video Conference

During odd-numbered years, most municipal elections are held to elect governing officials (mayor, city council, town council, etc.) of cities, villages and towns. Edgecombe County is no exception.

Join Democracy NC and N.C. Cooperative Extension, Edgecombe County Center on Monday, March 27th at 6:00 p.m. as we share the basics of civic engagement and municipal elections. During the session, participants will learn more about:

  •  The fundamentals of municipal elections
  • The responsibilities of municipal elected offices
  • Why citizens may not vote
  • How to get engaged in the community beyond voting
