4-H Culture and Codes

Four high school teams competed in our first 4-H Culture and Codes Contest on Tuesday, December 16th at the Ahoskie Gymnasium. Youth showcased their creativity, presentation and coding skills for a chance to compete in North Carolina A&T's Game of Drones competition.

Participants were able to speak with a licensed drones operator and learn about the use of drones in surveying.  All teams did an amazing job an excelled with various components of the contest. Judges raved about how well the youth presented careers that utilize drones and the information learned from the quiz bowl. The biggest component was the teamwork and knowledge displayed by teams when coding their robots and drones.

Job well done to all teams and congratulations to Ms. Smith's team from Hertford County High School as they will represent Hertford County 4-H in Greensboro in the spring.
