Peanut Yield Contest 2022

(Updated: Jan. 20, 2022, 5:55 a.m.)

The 2022 North Carolina Peanut Yield Contest is now open and accepting entries.

Farmers interested in participating in the 2022 Peanut Yield Contest need to bring a final sale summary of total pounds of peanut produced as well as an acreage report from FSA for the total acres of peanuts produced. This is the total acres of peanuts you produced regardless of what county they were produced. You must submit your entry to the county in which your farm operation is located.-- For example, if you live in Winton and farm both in Hertford and Bertie counties you must turn in all acres for both counties into Hertford County for the Peanut Yield Contest. To enter the contest you must produce at least 25 acres of peanuts.

Any interested farmers need to fill out a production practice questionnaire and turn in all information to the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Hertford County office by January 26, 2022, at 4:30 p.m.

There is a drop box outside of the front doors if office should be closed when you stop by.  Please place all entries in this box. They will be collected daily.
