Hertford-Northampton Livestock Show and Sale

Youth who are enrolled in the 4-H livestock program have the opportunity to learn about agriculture and livestock production as they develop an appreciation for the livestock industry. The experience of youth owning and working with animals; being responsible for their care, health, and growth; and exhibiting them in a competitive environment is a tremendous character-building process. The main objectives are to teach life skills and help participants become productive citizens of our society.

The Hertford-Northampton Livestock Show and Sale is a three county show consisting of Hertford, Northampton and Bertie counties. Youth that participate  show lambs, goats, hogs, steers and heifers. This is a one day event that will be held on June 12, 2024 starting with the show at 1:00pm followed by the sale at 6:30pm.

The committee planning meetings are held at 6 p.m. the first Monday of every month at the Murfree Center, 201 East Broad Street, in Murfreesboro. Educational workshops for youth are held monthly during the meetings.
