2020 Respirator Fit Testing Workshop

This years annual agricultural fit testing will be held on Wednesday, March 11th, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Hertford County Extension Center, 301 W Tryon St., Winton, NC 27986.

All appointments will be made in 15 minute increments. The North Carolina Agromedicine Institute will be charging $25 per person for the fit testing. Payment will be collected at the time of the test, either by cash or check. Medical clearance is required for all individuals being fitted. You can obtain medical clearance at your local doctor’s office prior to the event. If you would like to have medical clearance on the day of the test, it will be available for an additional charge of $25 per person. In order to gain medical clearance, please fill out the forms below and take them to your local doctor’s office or turn them in to the Hertford County Extension Center prior to March 11th.

On the day of your appointment, please remember to shave for a good seal, do not eat, drink, or smoke within 30 minutes of your appointment, and if you already have a respirator, please bring it and a set of new unopened cartridges. If you don’t have a respirator, once you are fitted, information will be available as to where you can purchase the respirator and cartridges you may need.
